In July, Wisconsin rapper Milo followed up his excellent Things That Happen At Day/Things That Happen At Night EPs with the free mixtape Cavalcade, which you can stream and download below. The entire thing was produced by Riley Lake, who uses a vast number of samples from the band America, apparently Milo’s grandfather’s favourite band, and one of these samples features heavily on the love song besos. The video starts off with a snippet of Milo’s friend and collaborator Open Mike Eagle performing a live version of his song Qualifiers in a laundromat but soon besos begins with Milo rapping in a colourful 8 bit world.
