The newly turned 3 piece band , ‘Yuck’, have now released their second single in anticipation for their upcoming sophomore LP ‘Glow and Behold’ – slated for release on the 30th of September. The song, entitled ‘Middle Sea’ pumps out Yuck’s distinctively driving and hook-heavy shoe-gaze and noise rock sound in addition to a subtle insertion of a horns section toward the latter end of the track (an aspect that certainly covers some new territory for the band). In a similar vein to the first single ‘Rebirth’ (which was dropped a little under a month ago), the track is accompanied by some distorted and hazy visuals that seemingly dance around screen with some partial harmony the music. Without the help of the highly influential and now Ex-Frontman Daniel Blumberg – who is now pursuing other projects – all eyes are on the continued members of the band to follow up their critically acclaimed self-titled 2011 release. Nevertheless, the two singles to be released thus far certainly point to some positive signs and i for one will be eagerly awaiting to hear what’s in store with ‘Glow and Behold’. Check the single ‘Middle Sea’ and it’s trippy visuals, below.
