The Scottish electro-pop trio Chvrches really wore their influences on their sleeves when they named their single The Mother We Share, a nod one of the most influential bands in the same genre, The Knife. Nevertheless, the song doesn’t feel like a cheap rip-off, with epic synth and vocal edits providing the perfect backdrop for Lauren Mayberry’s dainty yet strong vocals. The video features shots of the band doing their thing and of a woman walking through a city before succumbing to an ecstatic neon nirvana upon hearing the song.
