Kieran Hebden, better known as the prolific and influential Four Tet, only last week announced his 7th studio album, Beautiful Rewind, however no release date has been confirmed yet but it Hebden promises that it will be available via his own label Text Records soon. Earlier this week a new track called Kool FM was premiered in a mix on the BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe Show and now Four Tet has released the official version via his Soundcloud. The track begins with some crisp tribal percussion and some unnerving high pitched whistle, but the eerie beginning is soon dispersed with the addition of the strangely anthemic ‘hey hey hey’ sample into the mix and some harsh clattering drums.
