Ernest Greene’s electronic project Washed Out has been relatively silent ever since he made a splash (pun intended) with the 2011 release of his highly lauded Within and Without LP. Now we finally have a taste of his forthcoming album, Paracosm, in the form of a new single It All Feels Right. The song has seen the chillwave pioneer stray from his earlier synthesizer driven sound and incorporate far more acoustic instruments into the song, with guitars, percussion and strings all in this one song. While the interest in the chillwave movement has substantially dissipated, it is nice to see one of the main figures progress their music while still retaining the components that made Within and Without such a booming success. Check out the lyric video below and look for Paracosm on August 13th via Sub Pop Records.
Sounds like: Toro y Moi, Neon Indian
