NEW KIDS ‘PALMS’ PACK A PUNCH

I hadn’t heard of rockers ‘Palms’ until late last night, however their infectiously hard hitting and low-fi alternative rock sound immediately had me salivating for more. The relatively undiscovered Sydney based lads (who according to their page on triple j unearthed) have been recording music on cassettes in kitchens, have been slowing gaining in popularity with much recent exposure on Prominent radio station ‘Triple J’. Their new track ‘This last year’, very much follows in the same vein transposing their own take on the alternative and punk rock genre. The track starts off slow, and quiet with a very deliberate and building verse that is only leading in for the chorus to come crashing to life; with surging and progressive vocals, roaring drums and a grand guitar line to match, it is a distorted track of momentous proportions. We very much look forward to see what else these guys have in store for us in the future.

Sounds like: Pavement, Children collide, (early) British India
