WILD NOTHING DROPS NEW SINGLE

On Wild Nothing’s new single, A Dancing Shell, frontman Jack Tatum strays from his earlier dream pop sound for a more experimental style. The single is heavily influenced by David Bryne’s work in the Talking Heads, especially in the spoken word delivery of the verses and catchy choruses which is reminiscent of Once in a Lifetime, off of the Talking Head’s seminal Remain in Light. The track features Wild Nothing’s expected groovy and upbeat guitar and bass riffs as a constant throughout and also makes a heavy use of glittering synths, the combined effort resulting in a very chilled out track. The song will be featured on their upcoming 7 track EP Empty Estate, their follow up to their 2012 album Nocturne, and will be released May 14th via Captured Tracks.
