Legendary New York garage rockers The Strokes have released their 5th Album ‘Comedown Machine’ for streaming (via pitchfork media), allowing fans to get an exclusive listen at the anticipated album. Comedown Machine sees the band enter a new era, delving into a far more refined and pensive sound, featuring might tighter and punchier verses, and of course those irresistible catchy choruses that Julian Casablancas’ voice effortlessly peppers. Influences range from 90’s garage rock to 80’s synth pop, and even some oriental sounds at one point. It’s a distant relative to the ever comparable Is This is It, but something nonetheless Strokes fans will be able to appreciate.
